Our farm is located in a side valley, surrounded by lush green meadows and romantic Black Forest mountains.
Numerous hiking trails and tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity invite you to spend a relaxing holiday in the Black Forest. Leave your everyday routine behind you and enjoy some wonderful days on our farm.
Our farm is run by our family and has been in family ownership for several generations. We manage the dairy farm with its pastureland and woodland.
Besides the cows, our cats feel very much at home here with us. They always enjoy being stroked and when they have young kittens, the kittens also like to play with any children we have staying.
The farmstead is supplied with pleasant warmth by means of a modern shredding machine for wood and with water from our farm’s own spring. In addition our solar power system generating electric power by means of solar panels, supplies solar electricity to the power grid of the local utility company.
Jakobsbauernhof has its own licence for distilling alcohol. We mainly distil fruit schnapps or pomace brandy. We sell this directly from our farm.
Every other Tuesday, we bake fresh bread in our wood-fired oven. So, if you are lucky, you can even get fresh bread from the wood-fired oven for your evening meal.
Our “Grillkota” is an all-weather BBQ log cabin. Regardless of whether it is raining or the sun is shining, there is enough room in it for the whole family (for up to ten people). Here, you can round off the evening with sausages, steak, campfire bread grilled on a stick and salad.
You are very welcome to make use of our “Grillkota” during your stay to grill the meat you have brought with you. We are of course happy to provide you with the wood for the fire.
The large holiday flat on the ground floor is a perfect holiday residence for the whole family or also for the two of you. A large stylish living room with a wood-fired tiled stove provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bedroom and the separate children’s room with bunk beds offer maximum comfort. The modern kitchen, a large bathroom and an additional WC complete the home-from-home holiday accommodation. The well-positioned balcony offers space for sunbathing or for a leisurely chat over coffee.

The Hofblick flat is ideal for a family with up to three children. It can also be hired to supplement the Jakobsbauernhof flat, for instance, if grandma and grandpa want to come too. The large living room with a comfortable sofa bed, fitted with cold foam mattress and slatted frame can be used to make an additional bed. The bedroom equipped with a large double bed and an additional single bed, is ideal for a small family or for a couple. The modern kitchen and the bathroom with shower and WC leave nothing to be desired. The name of the flat refers to the view over the valley and the courtyard from the well-positioned balcony.
